TRANSCULTURAL RESEARCH

Focuses on comparative and cross-cultural studies of concepts and intellectual traditions. It engages with the questions of transcultural aesthetics, cultural translation, canon and commentary, methodologies of cross-cultural research, inter-cultural and cross-linguistic pedagogies in cultural studies, and international research networks.

 

 

 

URBAN RESEARCH

Explores themes of place identity, place memory, iconosphere, semiotic landscapes, and the intersections between architecture, ideology, pedagogy, and visual knowledges.

 

 

 

VISUAL RESEARCH

Engages with the visual environment through the strategies of photography, archival research, the study of spatiality and materiality of language (writing, graffiti, book objects), curating and critical pedagogy.

Experiments in publication platforms, innovative methodologies and modalities of presentation of research.
